QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience or Training
Must hold State and NCLB statement of approval issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
High school graduate with 2 years of college or community college experience
Good translation skills - Spanish
Computer skills desirable
Willingness to assist teachers and students in whatever capacity needed
Flexible and cooperative
Experience working with teenagers
Provide a positive role model for students
Ability to work as a team member

Desired Experience or Training
Bachelor's Degree
Previous experience as a teacher's aide

DUTIES: The duties of the EL Program Tutor shall be as directed by the Manager of English Language Learners and World Languages.
