Job Summary

Leads and implements programs and initiatives funded by the Centers for Disease Control, Division of Adolescent Sexual Health Surveillance Grant.

Essential Functions

1. Develops time line and tracking system to ensure that all components of CDC DASH grant are implemented in a timely and systematic manner.
2. Collaborates with the HIV Prevention Grant Coordinator, Health and Physical Education Specialist and contract partners to coordinate required activities for the administration of the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) and School Health Profiles Survey.
3. Collaborates with contracted evaluator from the FL DOH-Duval and the members of the YRBS Advisory Team to design appropriate data collection and progress monitoring systems.
4. Oversees the grant budget to ensure compliance with federal and district guidelines.
5. Collects, analyzes, and uses data to provide reports to the CDC Grant Project Officer and the Grant Principle Investigator to ensure the percentage of participation reflects the measurable goals as defined by Duval County Public Schools and the CDC DASH Cooperative Agreement.
6. Assists with the preparation of technical reports required by the funding agency.
7. Researches and identifies opportunities to inform parents, students and community members of the data results and its impact on reducing the high risk factors that affect our students.
8. Collaborates with district communications to promote and advertise the results of the bi-annual YRBS Data.
9. Collaborates with Community Stakeholders, including the district SHAC to ensure alignment of goals and expectations for reducing the high risk behaviors of our students.
10. Attends grant partners monthly meetings and the Community Clinics meetings at the FL Department of Health.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Demonstrated ability in comprehending grant programs, evaluation, and data analysis and report generation.

Certifications & Licenses: Florida Department of Education Certification in Supervision or Administration and Supervision/Educational Leadership preferred.
