Essential Functions and Objectives:

To provide supporting leadership to the department. Represent the department and district internally and externally. Work closely with the department supervisor in strategizing to maximize revenue and provide maximum resources and impact for kids and families. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

- Develop and maintain State of CO Random Moment Time Study (RMTS) roster in conjunction with supervisor. This function is a key driver of the District's Medicaid reimbursement. Works with HR Specialist and Accounting to obtain files of providers; reviews files using vLookup.

- M onitor Medicaid allowable health licensure documentation and ensure accurate alignment with State claims processing and with state cost reporting processes.

- Strategize with supervisor to improve State of CO Time Study survey compliance and response quality

- C oordinate with CDE, CO Department of Health Care Policy and Finance (HCPF), and the State's contractor, Public Consulting Group (PCG) in submitting and updating school district data

- Ensure response compliance and documentation to state audits, financial reviews, and desk reviews.

- Manage reporting out of ezEdMed, Enrich, RMTS, and the CO School Medicaid Consortium. Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g. vLookup, pivot tables, etc.) to review data.

- Lead role in ensuring compliance with Medicaid Parent Consent documents, including tracking and following up on missing documentation.

- Provide training to district service providers and other leadership staff on ezEdMed, Parent Consents, State of CO Time Study, Outreach & Enrollment (O&E) Services, and reimbursement revenue.

- Keep current on constantly changing Federal and State rules regarding Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP), and other public assistance programs

- In conjunction with supervisor, provide subject matter expertise and training within the Medicaid Department, including the O&E Specialists. Responsible for knowledge of both the Business Operations and the O&E side of Medicaid.

- Use critical thinking skills and work closely with supervisor in key strategizing for the department to include maximizing district reimbursement revenue from the State and Federal Medicaid agencies

- Represent DPS Medicaid Department at various events and meetings internally and externally with community agencies, parent groups, and local and State government agencies.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Current Colorado Driver's license and meets district insurability requirements.

- Problem solving and critical thinking demonstrated through established projects and experience.

- C ollaborate within internal team and organization, and with multiple external community and government agencies.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel, including vLookup and Pivot Table functions. General working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

- W orking knowledge of Federal and State public assistance programs, including: Medicaid, CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Plan), SNAP Food Assistance, TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families), etc.

- Ability to represent and communicate DPS Medicaid Department's services and programs to positively influence external organizations on policy.

- Effective trainer and presenter to multiple and diverse audiences.

- P rovide leadership and guidance to other team members, in conjunction with the department supervisor.

Education Requirements:

- High School diploma. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or Associate's degree preferred.
