    Staff Needed: One (1) Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC)

    Nature and Scope of Job:
    Provides a full range of services as a member of the Child Study Team in the identification and diagnosis of perceptual and learning disabilities and in the prescription and delivery of appropriate and effective educational services and programs. The Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC) is primarily a teacher and a consultant, assisting the instructional staff in an understanding of the needs of students with disabilities and recommending and demonstrating techniques, strategies, and materials so that students with disabilities meets or exceeds the Common Core State Standards.

    Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
    • Hold a valid New Jersey educational services certificate in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:27.1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. Title 6 Chapter 11 with a learning disabilities teacher-consultant endorsement (N.J.A.C. 6:11-11.13) and other appropriate endorsement(s) in accordance with the requirements of N.J.A.C. 6:11-10.1 et seq.
    • Certificate - MUST BE ELECTRONICALLY AVAILABLE IN APPLITRACK
    • Experience working with high school students and children with special needs
    • Have ability to relate to and work with disabled children
    • Provide a full range of services as a member of the Child Study Team in the identification and diagnosis of perceptual and learning disabilities and delivery of appropriate effective educational services and programs
    • LDTC is primarily a teacher and consultant assisting the instructional staff so that every student meets or exceeds the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
    • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with staff and families
    • If current name does not match name on certification, submission of legal name change document is required
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community

    Salary: As per negotiated contract
