ESSENTIAL CORE CHARACTERISTICS:
- Successful candidate will have certification in Elementary Education B-6.
- Experience teaching elementary, preferable Grades K-4.
- Experience with implementation of the Common Core standards, NYSE ELA and Math Modules, and instructional strategies
- Experience implementing Common Core aligned units, lessons, and assessments.
- Effective classroom management skills, demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies, and lessons.
- Strong math and literacy background.
- Character traits necessary to teach young children - enthusiasm, warmth, and dedication.
- Ability to differentiate instruction.
- Strong communication and teaming skills.
- Technology skills.
- Lifelong learner.
