POSITIONS: Extra Time After School Support Teachers - 4 positions (with 1 Teacher taking on Lead Role for extra-time)

LOCATION: Booker T. Washington Elementary

STARTING DATE: March 4 - April 10, 2019

1. Reading & Math - Monday & Wednesday (1.75 hours per day) with planning
2. Lead Teacher - additional 2 hours per week for role (student data entry (eSchool/Performance Plus), coordination of buses, student/parent contact, child nutrition contact/coordination)

Internal school applicants are prioritized in hiring.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Follows rules for a safety plan
• Complete all record keeping (sign-in and dismissal, daily attendance, parent contact logs, etc.)
• Reliable, punctual, and prepared to help facilitate the after school experience
• Develop instruction support plans that would increase student learning experience
• Provide students with remediation to support instruction in either math or reading/literacy based on STAR, dibels, class grades and/or SBAC
• Successfully facilitate an educational process that promotes participation, enthusiasm, positive group interactions, and academic success
• School Lead Teacher wills support all previous items identified in addition to coordination of students, teachers, transportation, snacks and data entry (Performance Plus Intervention Groups and eSchool)
• Additional duties as assigned by Principal, District Director and District Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be certified by the State of Delaware to teach content area
• Experience with tutoring or teaching elementary school students preferred

Standard Requirements

• Favorable Criminal Background Check for the candidate who is offered employment
• Tuberculin test and physical
• Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck
