School Nutrition Substitutes are extremely important in helping us maintain the high level of quality in our school nutrition programs. School Nutrition Substitutes can work as little as a few days per month up to several days per week. School Nutrition Substitute work can include: food preparation, serving food to staff and students on the serving line, working in the dish room, general cleaning and sanitation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in English (read, write, speak).

Ability to work in an environment of extreme cold, hot and humid temperatures for sustained periods.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent work history.

Neat, clean and professional appearance

Excellent health including full range of motion, manual dexterity, ability to stand for at least four (4) hours at a time. Ability to perform the following actions: Bending, squatting, climbing, carrying, moving objects and lifting a minimum of at least 50 lbs. Health certificate is required.

Outstanding customer service skills.

Satisfactory Criminal Background Check.

Satisfactory Child Protection Registry Check.

Satisfactory Mantoux Tuberculin Test.

Participation in Direct Deposit of Pay.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Three and a half (3.5) hours per day, exclusive of lunch, up to 29.5 hours per week

Variable Days

$12.74 per hour

Hours are typically between 10 am to 2 pm (exclusive of a half hour unpaid lunch break), up to 29.5 hours per week.

Start Date: October 16, 2018

Reports To: School Nutrition Manager
