Position Summary:
Provides hardware support, software support, and training for Transportation staff and customers
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hardware Administration
- Assists with equipment selection, installation, and maintenance
Provides troubleshooting support
Delivers equipment training
Catalogs equipment locations, quantities, types, and conditions
Software Administration
- Assists with software selection and installation
Provides troubleshooting support
Delivers software training
Network Administration
- Assists with general maintenance
Provides general troubleshooting support
Additional Responsibilities
- Takes on and manages new projects from start to finish
Supports development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations
Consults with customers to evaluate and recommend technical needs
Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator
Education and Experience
Education:
- Associates Degree required or equivalent experience (In lieu of degree, will consider 2 years of related technology experience per year of college (4 years)Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the area of technology required; Experience with school bus transportation, cellular devices and networks, web design, databases and/or GIS a plus
Certification:
- None required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system and the Microsoft Office suite
Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills
Ability to respond to last minute requests and deadlines
Must be highly organized and self-motivated
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Must have excellent written and verbal skills
Salary Information:
Salary Range for 2018-2019
- $45,365 - $53,540
