Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by completion of an acceptable apprentice-level structural maintenance training program, plus six years of progressively more responsible experience in multiple structural maintenance trades, one year of which shall have been at the lead level. Can demonstrate knowledge of the methods and skills used in structural maintenance and repair; capability to establish methods, procedures, deadlines, and priorities for assigned workers and perform employee evaluation, as required; knowledge of common hazards and necessary safety precautions; knowledge of local, state, and national codes; reading, interpreting, and explaining instructions, diagrams, sketches, blueprints, and manufacturers' manuals; capability to estimate time and material needs, determine when repair is not economically practical, and to perform tasks and arithmetic computations; ability to use personal computer and all applicable software; and strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring, and uncomfortable positions. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis, accept call-back overtime or regular overtime, and/or agree to assume an emergency call-out list status.
