Job Description:

We are accepting applications for our Clinical Director at our Therapeutic Day School our Northwest Center for Autism (NWCA) campus located in Genoa, IL.

Our NWCA campus provides services for children, adolescents and young adults, ages 3 through 21 with extraordinary needs including Autism, Multiple Disabilities and Other Health Impairments. Students are supported by a team of professionals that include School Administrators, Special Education Teachers and Paraprofessionals, Therapist and Related Service Providers.

The Clinical Director position oversees the quality of the clinical component within the therapeutic program as required by all applicable standards, policies and procedures, while working with the leadership team and staff to improve the overall quality of care.



Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provides and monitors crisis intervention.
Facilitates and participates in discussion/planning/implementing sessions with the students' teacher, therapist, and teaching assistant as to appropriate therapeutic interventions for students.
Supports Camelot's behavioral model.
Supervises all therapists (including related services), providing individual and group supervision.
Monitors all case management, family sessions, IEP paperwork and documentation completed by therapists.
Assigns caseloads, groups, and various clinical tasks.
Coordinates and facilitates treatment team meetings.
Facilitates de-briefing sessions on physical holds and significant events (as needed).

Experience and Skills:

Education, experience and role qualifications for this position include:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, School Counseling, Speech Language, Occupational Therapy
  • Clinical License (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC)
  • Professional Educator License in IL with ISBE preferred
  • Experience supervising staff preferred
  • Experience working with similar population in a school setting preferred
  • Strong professional communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to record and analyze data utilizing excel and google drive
