The Behavior Support Education Specialist complete assigned activities and projects aimed at ensuring a strong positive behavior support process and high quality classroom across all brands and age groups. They also fulfill other education-related duties as outlined by Director of Educational Programming and CAO.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Actively participate in the creation, development and implementation of tools and resources that will differentiate and strengthen Learning Care Group educational programs.
  • Actively participate in the continuing revision and improvement of the curriculum and the myPath app, including attending advisory group meetings, researching and presenting new ideas for the revision, and writing and creating new curriculum.
  • Assist the field (DVP's, DM's, Directors and teachers) in education, curriculum and behavior related questions as related to the programs, school needs, child and family needs.
  • Support CAO and other Education Directors and Managers in curriculum development and implementation of other age group programs as needed.
Requirements:

  • BA in early childhood education or related field highly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the early childhood, Kindergarten or Early Elementary level
  • Previous experience in a licensed child care center preferred
  • Developmentally appropriate practice, Reggio Emilia, Multiple Intelligences, STEM and High Scope understanding/ experience preferred
