Lake Braddock Secondary School

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), the nation’s 10^th largest school division, located in the Washington, D.C. region is seeking a dynamic new principal for Lake Braddock Secondary School. The school was recently ranked by U.S. News and World Report as a Gold Medal School, ranked in the top 2 percent of all high schools in the United States.

Lake Braddock Secondary School is one of three secondary schools within FCPS and is comprised of two sub-schools middle and high school.  Lake Braddock’s instructional programs are designed to prepare students to be academically competitive in a constantly changing world. 

Lake Braddock SAT scores are above the national average, and 95 percent of the students go to a two-year or four-year college or university.  Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in every major discipline, and honors classes are also available to challenge and prepare underclassmen for the rigors of the AP curriculum. An extensive and varied electives program expands concepts presented in core classes and offers opportunities for exploration in the fine and practical arts, business, and technology disciplines. 

Qualifications:  Postgraduate Professional License with endorsements in administration and supervision preK-12, plus seven years of progressively more responsible experience in teaching and administration or supervision, with a minimum of three years administrative experience. A regionally competitive salary and benefit package will be offered. 

Preferred start date of 2/1/19; however, start date may be negotiable.
