Job Description:

Camelot Education, a leader in providing alternative education services, is recruiting creative, compassionate and caring individuals to join our team. We are seeking an Elementary Teacherfor our Camelot Academy of Escambia County in Pensacola, Florida.

This campus is an alternative education program comprised of students within the district that have been removed from their regular campus for disciplinary infractions. Students range from ages 11-18, and are supported by a team of professionals that include credentialed teachers and behavior management professionals. The focus of this program will be to keep students on track to graduate and to successfully transition them back to their regular campus to achieve success. We are recruiting creative, compassionate, caring educators to join our staff, eager to help our students excel academically and achieve post-secondary success.

Our Teachers are responsible for designing and providing instruction in accordance with curriculum planning and timing guidelines. Teachers also conduct frequent and appropriate assessments to determine student understanding. They work closely with other instructional staff, support staff and administration with a focus on producing favorable academic outcomes and a positive school climate.

Camelot Education is a nationally recognized organization providing educational services to children and adolescents throughout the United States. Camelot has over 40 school campuses located in six states and is continuing to grow. Camelot provides Alternative Education services to inner city schools for children who have dropped out of school, been expelled or at risk for either.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • Current Florida Professional Teacher Certification
  • Experience working with at-risk youth preferred
  • Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills preferred
