POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as a liaison between APS, students, outside agencies and courts to promote a healthy educational environment for students. Organizes programs, group sessions and other social services to educate the APS community.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizes programs for students, parents and staff pertaining to child abuse, resource development and other educational issues.
- Acts as a liaison between students and APS by administering conferences, home visits and additional activities.
- Interviews students and relatives to obtain the student's historical information regarding medical, social and emotional conditions.
- Contacts state and local authorities for child abuse issues, student behavior problems and any criminal activities concerning the student.
- Maintains and updates records to ensure accurate information and data.
- Attends workshops and seminars to continue to improve skills and learn about current issues affecting students.
- Organizes group sessions for students, parents and APS staff to discuss problems and issues.
- Administers and/or supports the state and local standardized testing process and policies.
Requirements: EDUCATION: Master's Degree required
