Job Summary

Assists the Executive Director of Federal Programs with oversight of the UniSig federal grant. Assists with fiscal oversight of other funded grants as needed. Develops and distributes training material and information to appropriate personnel. Provides and facilitates ongoing developmental improvements, process enhancements and internal controls. Assists in the preparation of financial reports.

Essential Functions

1. Monitors fiscal transactions and maintains up-to-date records for the UniSig grant.
2. Oversees and assists department personnel, department heads, and principals during the budgetary process and in budget preparation for federal, state, and local grants to ensure that funds are not duplicating services and are used to the greatest advantage for all students.
3. Collaborates via email, phone and in person with departmental personnel and school principals in preparing, managing, administering and appropriations of various funding sources, and in developing procedures and policy recommendations related to Federal fiscal management activities.
4. Communicates with other departments to ensure project compliance with federal, state and local standards.
5. Provides oversight and communication with other departments to ensure a seamless process for purchasing, accounting, payroll, travel and position control.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Experience and training in account reconciliation and auditing procedures related to government entities; application of federal and state regulations to business processes; recognizing assets; and financial reporting. Experience in public schools and/or government administration preferred.
