The Business Analyst, Level 3, helps define the roadmaps for the Company's learning systems and engages with stakeholders to ensure products meet strategic goals. This position requires the incumbent to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, prioritize, and manage the business needs of the Product Development stakeholders, including internal customers and end users, and is involved throughout the business solution development lifecycle.
AS Business Analyst, Level 3, YOU WILL..
  • Helps develop scope State ments as well as other requirements artifacts related to the software development lifecycle to enable the evolution of the Company's systems and products with a focus on product development and curriculum delivery;
  • Understands and articulates the business vision, problem definition and opportunity by documenting business requirements, use cases, and functional and non-functional requirements;
  • Utilizes interviewing skills to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, and verify the business needs of the project stakeholders, including internal (Product Development) and external (throughout the Company) stakeholders and end users;
  • Partners with Business users, technology development, and project managers from across the Company to ascertain business requirements and transform those requirements into a functional specification document;
  • Ensures requirements are documented, traceable and testable through to implementation;
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary management team in prioritizing functional requirements and developing a phased-development approach with the project team;
  • Provides central coordination for all business and infrastructure requirements for Product Development initiatives as a critical member of the Product Development Program Management Office (PMO);
  • Leverages interpersonal skills to work in a team environment and communicate effectively across a variety of stakeholder groups;
  • Facilitates the coordination and implementation of ideas and activities between the Product Development and Systems & Technology organizations to ensure positive cooperation in a dynamic matrix environment;
  • Develops high quality presentations, documentation, and analytical materials for consumption by senior management and field teams;
  • Develops organizational evolving processes/workflows, tool usage and participate in process improvement activities;
  • Conducts User Acceptance Testing to verify the fulfillment of all requirements and communicate changes in accordance with the project change control process;
  • Resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.

Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six (6) years of experience in business analysis or a related field
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Business and analytical acumen: critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, translate up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements. Work and cope within rapidly changing environment and rethink the approach as new challenges are presented
  • Communication: solid communications skills, both written and oral to communicate information effectively to customers, marketing, managers, and technical staff
  • Leadership: mentor other business analysts on the team, facilitate and lead requirements elicitation workshops. Provides technical guidance related to the business implications of the application of various systems
  • Interpersonal: help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering)
  • Project management: help organize, lead, and implement solutions. Work independently and efficiently, in a cross-functional matrix environment, to successfully manage multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Collaboration: working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate strong interest in technology, particularly a familiarity with the issues facing technology from a business perspective
  • Ability to pass required background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Product Development & Management Association (PDMA) New Product Development Professional (NPDP) certification or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
  • Experience with web-based applications
