Camelot's NWCA campus previously located in Dekalb has moved to the newly remodeled school in Genoa, IL.

Camelot Education, a leader in providing special education services, is recruiting creative, compassionate and caring individuals to join our team. We are seeking Special Education Teachers for Northwest Center for Autism (NWCA) located in Genoa, IL.

Our NWCA campus provides services for children, adolescents and young adults, ages 3 through 21 with extraordinary needs including Autism, Multiple Disabilities and Other Health Impairments. Students are supported by a team of professionals that include School Administrators, Special Education Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Teaching Assistants, Therapist and Related Service Providers.

The Special Education Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities. The Special Education Teacher provides academic instruction in a self-contained classroom setting and is responsible for the overall management of the classroom. The Teacher will work as part of an interdisciplinary team ensuring that a student's IEP goals are being met.

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Current Illinois Teacher Certification with Special Education LBS1 Endorsement
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
• Experience working with at-risk youth preferred
• Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
