The Curriculum & Assessment Coordinator ensures students use curriculum tools effectively in order to be successful. Working with the school's leadership team, the position identifies and measures improvement strategies.

AS A CURRICULUM & ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR, YOU WILL ENJOY...
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the ISMI Student Achievement Improvement, Continuous Improvement, School Improvement, and AdvancEd coordination as needed and required by MDE
  • Reviews alignment of curriculum maps to State standards.
  • Monitors cycle of instruction of State standards
  • Collaborates with At-Risk Team to progress the use of the Response to Intervention (RTI) model.

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning. Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Education AND
  • Three (3) years of classroom experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certificates and Licenses: Michigan Teaching Licensure

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Web proficiency
  • Flexible schedule; Ability to travel up to 35%
  • Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction Design
  • Three (3) or more years teaching in a virtual setting
  • Understanding of Study Island, Scantron, and the RTI model
