The Marketing Manager will participate in the development and execution of the acquisition marketing programs to generate enrollments for the company supported lines of business. This position is part of a high-performance team leveraging offline and digital channels to drive customer acquisition through direct response.

The Product Marketing Specialist oversees the marketing of the Career Readiness products. The successful candidate is responsible for working with the product and marketing team to research market, develop compelling messages, create materials with the marketing and product teams, coordinate calendars across programs, training and promotions as well as conduct campaign performance analysis.

This position partners with product, marketing and sales teams to establish marketplace interest and a best-in-class customer experience. As a marketing specialist who works across matrixed teams to execute the strategy, this individual will be exposed to multiple areas of marketing and communications.
AS A Product Marketing Specialist, YOU WILL..
  • Collaborates with marketing team and leadership to develop compelling product marketing and consumer messaging framework;
  • Develops repeatable processes to help teams operationalize the marketing plan;
  • Works closely with product, marketing and research teams to understand products;
  • Works closely with management team to help establish positioning, analyzes market, and pricing;
  • Understands qualitative and quantitative research, the market landscape, new thought leadership and transpose the concepts into simple, engaging messages;
  • Researches, monitors and tracks the competitive landscape;
  • Partners with cross-organizational groups (Sales/Marketing, Operations, Finance, PR, Legal, Engineering) to collaborate on go-to-market planning and complete various go-to-market tasks;
  • Collaborates with other departments to streamline customer and partner communication.
  • Works with Marketing and Creative agencies to execute the plan;
  • Researches needs, clarify details, confirm requirements, and communicate the project goals;
  • Accountable for meeting deadlines, timely and accurate communication of schedules;
  • Cascades key information to counterparts and across the Career Readiness team;
  • Works closely with Program Managers to ensure go to market efforts are on schedule;
  • Supports strategic initiatives both internally within Career Readiness team and with other cross-functional teams to best address changing business and Go-To-Market (GTM) needs

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIRED Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field of study AND
  • Three (3) years of experience in consumer marketing, product marketing or product management, ideally in an education or edtech environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Keen eye for copy and grammar - able to craft messages and framework
  • Highly effective in a fast-paced, matrixed team environment
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Outstanding communication and visual presentation skills
  • High degree of proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel
  • Experience using data (market, survey, etc.) to drive decision-making
  • Experience writing business proposals or related documents
  • Experience managing product roadmaps and implementing scaled processes
  • Experience in product positioning development
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
