We are looking to make an immediate hire but will also accept applicants interested in working for us next school year. For the 20 19-2020  school year, we will employ over 50 staff members and serve approximately 500 students in grades 4-11, growing to graduate our first class of 12th graders in the spring of 2021. 
ABOUT YOU  
As the case manager you will be directly accountable to the principal for executing the procedural aspect of IEP writing, using the Student Support Team in an excellent and effective way. The case manager ensures that Chicago Collegiate's Student Support Team remains in 100% compliance with Chicago Public Schools, IL State Board of Education, and IDEA.  You will be a member of the Student Support Team and will work to ensure all students are demonstrating dramatic student achievement gains and demonstrating the character traits and intellectual habits needed to succeed in the college of their choice, lead in their communities and change the world. 
What your day to day might look like
  • Maintaining an accurate and detailed calendar of all IDEA & Section 504 related meetings
  • Assigning Learning Specialists to cases
  • Monitoring the IEP writing timeline, and taking steps as necessary to ensure IEPs are written in a timely and organized way
  • Running productive Student Support Team weekly planning meetings between Learning Specialists, School Social Worker, and Paraprofessionals
  • Managing and maintaining paper IEP & 504 documentation in all educational rooms across the school
  • Ensuring timely and accurate IEP report cards twice quarterly (Once at the halfway point, and once for distribution during family conferences)
  • Other Student Support Team Leadership tasks as demanded by the team's and student's needs
  • Partnering with the Social Worker to bring in and assign related service professionals as necessary (OT, Psych, etc.) 
    Requirements
    • Hold a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate (PEL) and LBS1 endorsement
    • Hold at least a Bachelor's degree
    • Demonstrate record of success with low-income students and/or students in urban populations, particularly with diverse learners
    • Highly qualified as defined by the Every Student Succeeds Act and fully compliant with Illinois State Law.
    • Have a passionate belief in Chicago Collegiate's mission and an unwavering belief that all students, regardless of demographics, can achieve at the highest academic levels.
    • Hold deep knowledge and thoughtfulness on building student's social skills, willing and able to work across multiple grade levels.
    • Evidence of excellent organizational skills with a data-driven orientation and focus on results.
    • A passion for being part of a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture. 
    • Strong communication skills with individuals of varying backgrounds.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; flexible, able to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed.
    • Strong evidence of self-awareness, humility, openness to feedback, grit, gratitude and a sense of humor.
    • A positive, high-energy attitude and the ability to problem-solve and maintain a solutions oriented approach.
    Nice-To-Haves
    • Prior experience as a case worker
    • Former outstanding teacher for low-income children of color who has demonstrated quantifiable and objective student performance gains that are stellar.
    SALARY & BENEFITS
    Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience. This role could either be done full-time if accompanied by some teaching responsibilities, or part-time at approximately 20 hours/week, with both the number and schedule of those hours having some flexibility for the employee (within the needs of the school).
