DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION II

Experienced school transportation  professional needed to oversee the safe and efficient daily transportation of 30,000+ students to over 125 educational institutions. Will plan, administer  and supervise a pupil transportation system including transportation for after school programs, athletic trips, field trips and summer programs,  and transportation of handicapped students.

Candidate must have thorough knowledge of pupil transportation operations, including routing and scheduling. The ability to interact effectively within a culturally diverse  community  is needed as well as experience developing and working within a budget.

Minimum qualifications: High school or equivalency diploma plus 6 years of administrative experience in transportation or traffic, one year of which must have involved passenger movement. Education beyond high school within a field of administration  may be substituted for the experience on a year-for-year basis for up to 5 years.
