THE POSITION
Under the leadership of the Executive Director of Special Services, the Interim Supervisor of Special Education for PreK - 5 is responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the implementation of N.J.A.C. 6A:14, SPECIAL EDUCATION. Through a hands-on approach, the Supervisor leads and supports child study teams, supports classroom teachers, collaborates with administrators and parents, and supports the overall mission of the Department.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1. New Jersey Supervisor or Principal Certificate
2. Previous experience as a School Psychologist, School Social Worker, LDTC, SLS or Teacher of Special Education is required.
3. Experience with curriculum development, program assessment and staff development.
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in the areas of program implementation.
5. Familiarity with federal regulations and state code requirements.
6. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
7. Required criminal history background check.
8. Proof of U.S.citizenship or legal resident alien status.
