Department Description:

Under the direction of an assigned Director and supervised by a Senior Human Resources Partner, the Human Resources Partner provides strategic, efficient and quality human resources and talent management services to assigned schools and/or departments. The Human Resources Partner is the customer service point of contact for principals and managers and supports all phases of the employment lifecycle (recruiting, selection, hiring, performance management and retention). Actively participates in data collection, analysis and reporting for workforce effectiveness. Accountable for the quality and effective staffing of schools and departments to include creating and maintaining process and content procedures, policies, tools, templates and standards. Routine reporting required.

Brief Description:

This is a 12 month, ASASP Unit III, Grade 28 position.

Salary Range: $63,909 - $115,170

Detailed Description:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Implements strategic human resources reform to ensure all workforce requirements are met for assigned schools and offices;
  • Builds and supports a high quality workforce to support student achievement through talent management;
  • Establishes and maintains a strong, positive working relationship with assigned principals and/or central office staff to support the sourcing, assignment, onboarding, induction, retention, development, and performance of high-quality candidates for all positions;
  • Supports principals/managers in the planning for and assignment of staff, including projected vacancies, excess and transfer actions, long-term substitute teacher assignments, and other human resource implications of the principal/manager's budgetary and staffing decision-making;
  • Provides human capital metrics and analytics report to inform principals, managers and executive leaders to enable fact-based decision making and stay abreast of human capital needs and staffing issues;
  • Assists the principal/manager in analyzing relevant data regarding employee quality effectiveness, fit, turnover, absenteeism, and other significant levers in improving workforce excellence;
  • Keeps current with school student achievement/business function data and performance to ensure human capital needs are met;
  • Participates in the recruitment of instructional and non-instructional staff through talent sourcing and other recruitment events;
  • Collaborates with the recruitment team on best matches for vacancies;
  • Implements screening and selection procedures and finalizes candidate eligibility before final processing;
  • Coordinates and performs a variety of human resources employment transactions;
  • Guides new hires through the on-boarding process to ensure timely completion;
  • Supports principals/managers throughout performance management processes and collaborates with other Human Resources departments and staff to ensure effective improvement or exiting of low-performing employees;
  • Serves as liaison and support to school/office support staff regarding a variety of human resources issues that affect salary and payroll;
  • Utilizes all human resources information technology and adapts to new technologies quickly;
  • Interfaces with technology staff on information systems issues related to human resources; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, leadership ability and decision making skills;
  • Experience with implementing human resources processes or employment procedures in educational settings;
  • Experience working in educational settings preferably as a teacher, administrator or central office staff;
  • Cultural sensitivity and collaborations with others along with effective oral and written communication skills with a focus on accuracy and high quality customer service; and
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.


  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field is required. Master's degree in the above fields is preferred. Five (5) years of progressive work experience in human resources/human capital management or education (teaching, building leadership) some of which has been in a large organization; or a combination of equivalent years of experience, education and skills that would meet the position requirements.

    CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
    Educator credentials or national human resource certifications preferred.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    :
    May supervise assigned administrative support staff.
