Job Description:

The main role of the Head Counselor will be to supervise program/staffand be the liaison between the Camp Director and camp staff. In addition to theresponsibilities of a Camp Counselor, the Head Counselor will be responsiblefor the following: supervise daily attendance and group coordination,recognize, respond to and log individual and group needs, problems or injuries,inform Camp Supervisor of any camper/counselor problems, attend weeklyscheduled meetings with supervisor, monitor counselors during activity time andensure they are participating where necessary. Head Counselors will also assistcounselors with special activities or games, instruct counselors in emergencyprocedures, fire drills etc., plan and implement section group activities,supervise early or late care as assigned, evaluate section staff, assist in thetraining of all staff. Must live onsite for this position. Camp experience in a supervisory role is preferred. Must be available May - end of August 2019. A resume is required for the application process.

Job Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age. At least one year of experience ina camp setting working with children is required, along with one to two yearsof leadership experience in some capacity.
