Essential Functions and Objectives :

The Fellow Coordinator leads teams of math and literacy fellows who provide highly structured small group instruction for students as part of the regular school day. Coordinators deliver professional development, conduct observations and provide feedback in the development of teams of fellows. The overall objective of the role is to develop high performing teams of fellows who improve student outcomes in literacy and math with the goal of closing opportunity gaps.

I nstructional Coaching and Evaluation

- Provides instructional coaching and development for Math and Literacy Fellows.

- Supports and evaluates the professional experiences of Math and Literacy Fellows for the improvement of student growth and achievement.

- Creates a culture of high academic expectations for al students.

Team Management

- Creates a high achieving culture connected to program and district mission, vision, and values.

- Provides solutions for daily management issues.

- Recognizes Math or Literacy Fellows on a regular basis.

- Regular collaboration with Math or Literacy classroom teachers.

Use of Data

- Supports fellows in the use of data to drive instruction and plan rigorous lessons.

- Uses multiple data points to identify strengths and areas for growth at particular school sites to facilitate change as needed.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Background as a classroom teacher and demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams of adults is strongly preferred.

- Student scheduling.

- Communications to a range of stakeholders.

- Regular collaboration with classroom teachers.

- Space and facility problem solving.

- Technology implementation and maintenance.

- Regulations and reporting.

- Additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

- Master's degree preferred.
