The Education Manager, Special Programming is responsible for leading key initiatives and efforts focusing on educational technology, STEAM approach to learning, new school builds and acquisitions as well as ancillary and enrichment programming. This position will have an outward looking perspective, keeping an eye on trends in educational technology and playing a role in new brand development. Additionally, this role will focus on new business strategies across the full spectrum of the of the educational pathway, which includes conceptualization and thought leadership to drive high quality educational offerings that differentiate us from our competitors. Fulfill other education-related duties as outlined by Director of Strategic Initiatives and CAO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop staff to excel in department and individual objectives; provide staff with a clear sense of direction and purpose; communicate effectively and timely with staff; regularly utilize a variety of recognition tools and programs.
  • Oversee and manage projects that relate to educational technology. This includes digital product, web-based tools, site enhancements, etc. Position will work with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to continuously cross-functionally update internal awareness of educational technology trends and developments.
  • Own primary responsibility for the continuous development of LCG's STEAM approach to learning.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new LCG brands. This includes participating and supporting pilots and driving pilot data gathering and analysis.
  • Periodically write content and lead professional development sessions for school-based leaders and teachers focusing on curriculum review or new curriculum.
  • Visit schools on a regular basis (1-3 visits per quarter)
  • Manage and direct staff including recruitment, selection and development to achieve Company goals and objectives.
  • Leads staff to meet key deadlines as established by the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Chief Academic Officer.
  • Work to build cross-functional working relationships within the Education Department as well as outside departments.



Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and/or 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the Early Childhood Development and/or Education Sector.
  • Minimum 3 years developing curriculum and program content and/or professional development training in the early childhood arena.
