The Manager of Community Outreach is responsible for managing, scheduling, and promoting of enrichment programming at all campuses. This managerial position directly supervises all aspect of of site supervision including hiring, staff management, and programming. Responsibilities include coaching, training, setting strategy for sustanable programming on all compuses. The manager will be responsible for all marketing and promotion efforts for the Beacon Network. The Event Coordinator is responsible for developing, planning, implementation, and oversight of designated events, programs, and organizational gatherings.

Strategic Planning

- R esponsible for implementation of a strategic plan, which addresses program capacity building in the areas of data-driven programming and evaluation and community collaboration.

- O versee budget processes including monthly tracking and completion of all budgetary reports.

- C ollaborates with Networklevel staff to develop & implement a comprehensive strategy for sustainable programming for students and parents.

Community Partnerships

-G row and manage partnerships with external community partners that will provide real-world experiences to our students.

- P romote the enrichment programming for all schools and increase student opportunities, in and outside of school.

- O versee management of daily program schedules for all enrichments and all extracurricular activities and events.

- S upervise community providers and provide feedback to providers and executive principal to ensure a highly engaging experience to our students.

- S chedule various enrichments throughout the school year for academics, arts & culture, leadership, sports and STEAM.

- I ncrease the level of participation from community providers for students to increase their opportunities to career ready experiences in the specified field.

- O rganize and manage payment and contracts to external partners.

Communication & Public Relations:

-D evelops, implements, and oversees internal and external communication plans and strategies; prepares content for and/or design of newsletters; E-newsletters, develops and manages web and social media content for Beacon Network.

- W ork in conjunction with school administration in scheduling and coordination of external communications to include community relations, school events, media releases, and requests for community based assistance and school district announcement.

- D evelop annual report of activities, successes and future plans to be presented to executive principal and other stake-holders.

- O rganize and implement marketing strategies developed by the organization to increase student enrollment and growth for additional schools.

- C ontact local business and organizations to set up enrichment, funding and promotion of network.

- D evelop sustainable funding model for enrichment and community enrichment position.

Development and Fundraising:

-C reate and implement development and fundraising vision for Beacon Network Schools.

- S eek out and manage partnerships with donors.

- P erform event management responsibilities for donor events.

- P roduce detailed proposals for events (e.g. Timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets).

- C oordinate staff events promoting the Beacon Network.

Parent Outreach:

- D evelop parent programming and schedule parent courses.

- S eek out and manage partnerships with donors.

- P erform event management responsibilities for donor events.

- P roduce detailed proposals for events (e.g. Timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets).

- C oordinate staff events promoting the Beacon Network.

Grant Management and Funding:

- R esearch and assist management to apply for grants associated with external funding for the school in collaboration and consultation with school administration.

- D evelop and maintain budgets to support enrichment programs at all schools

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Ability and willingness to work with a diverse student and adult

- E xcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly

- S trong work ethic and growth mindset with the capacity to motivate oneself and others towards high levels of achievement and success in working in a team.

- D emonstrated experience managing and completing multiple projects (full life-cycle project planning and implementation

- S trong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail

- A bility to motivate and influence others

- E nthusiasm, professionalism, and positivity to classrooms and our adult community
- Demonstrated knowledge of DPS Human Resource and other departmental policies

Education & Experience Requirements:

-Bachelor's Degree in business, operations, management, or development.

- At least 3 years of operations, fundraising, or community engagement/organizing in a fast-paced environment.
