Job Description:

We are currently accepting applications for our Social Worker position at our Mastery Camden KAPS program located in Camden, New Jersey.

This campus provides an early educational therapeutic and behavioral model for students in grades K- 10th experiencing significant difficulties with appropriate behavior that impedes their ability to take advantage of their regular education programs. Camelot provides smaller classes and more individual attention in a nurturing environment.

The Social Worker will provide individual, group and family services as needed or as indicated on the student's IEP. The Social Worker works closely with the teaching staff to ensure that behavior plans are being followed and that students are progressing towards their goals. The Social Worker maintains frequent contact with the parents/guardians and provides crisis intervention if needed.

We are a hardworking, cohesive, community-focused school. Our ideal candidate would be a professional who has: a desire to reach out to students who may need extra classroom and behavioral supports, the ability to use a variety of engagement practices in a therapeutic setting, and the skills to reflect on and improve instructional strategies. Teachers in our school are promised excellent support, feedback and opportunity to grow. We genuinely love what we do and are always striving to get better.
