Leads, supervises, and manages health and nutrition operations for early childhood participants and families; supervises and evaluates health and nutrition staff; ensures compliance of federal standards in meal planning and implementation of food and safety and sanitation procedures; and monitors and reports health and nutrition related data.

Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a health-related field. Master's degree preferred. Five years of progressively more responsible experience related to a health field, social services, or early childhood education, some of which includes working with families at or below the poverty level or in community health services and includes supervisory experience. Registered nurse or registered dietitian. Knowledge of public health needs and targeted services as they relate to preschool children and their families. Thorough knowledge of nutrition-related federal and state laws, including the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Knowledge of and the ability to keep current in the fields of early childhood development, health, nutrition, and safety. Ability to plan and organize a program workload. Solid supervisory skills to include the ability to delegate, develop, motivate, coach and manage employee performance.
Problem-solving skills. Proficiency in the use of technology. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of entities, including many from outside the Division. Ability to work with individuals from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Excellent presentation skills.
