Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provides oversight for the efficient and secure computer systems and services to meet all BOCES School District (component and non-component) and State Education Department (SED) needs;
  • Plans, organizes, and communicates the overall programs, services, and initiatives of the Regional Information Center, including the provision of management, personnel and technological resources in collaboration with component BOCES, client districts, NYSED, and staff;
  • Develops and administers a balanced and cost efficient budget that will assure effective and visionary services; Coordinates the activities of the LHRIC and collaborates with other regional information centers throughout the state and the State Education Department for the purpose of planning and developing cost effective and state of the art technology support services in support of regional educational improvement initiatives;
  • Initiates new opportunities and strengthens vendor relationships that ensure quality products and services which will maintain regional technology standards and offer cost-effective solutions;
  • Consults with and directs top managerial staff regarding administrative functions such as budgeting, financial processing and oversight, project management, personnel administration, etc.;
  • Maintains appropriate and required documentation for Regional Information Center operations, procedures, pricing practices and state and federal requirements.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess or be eligible for NYS District-level Administrative Certification (SDA, SDL or SDBL) and a minimum of five (5) years of Administrative/Supervisory level information systems management experience, and strong management and communication skills required.
