The Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinator implements and oversees Section RTI programs for students at the school.

AS A Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinator, YOU WILL...
  • Support 4 Tier RTI
  • DPRs
  • Parent follow up (paperwork, completion tracking and submitting level 3 & 4 documents)
  • Answer questions staff, families
  • SST meetings (scheduling/creating/leading) students not making progress, referrals to level 3
  • Maintaining trackers Tier 3 & 4
  • Respond system flags
  • Tier 3 & 4 referrals
  • Level 2 teacher referrals (2b referral when interventions are not working in level 2)
  • Assisting with calling students to come into RTI sessions
  • One Note/TV Documentation
  • Trainings
  • Eligibility meetings
  • Support entire RTI District process
  • Support teachers in documenting student progress
  • Works with special education team to facilitate eligibility
  • Works with leads, AP's and principals
  • Attends meetings on all levels
  • Oversees data collection and progress monitoring at every tier; Uses data to help teachers plan whole and small group instruction and help teachers identify and group students who need additional help;

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning. Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • Three (3) years of related professional experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to pass required background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) years of directly related experience in an online school setting

Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, expediently and at sufficient volume. Ability to make presentations/speak before groups.
    • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes.
