Title: Coordinator, Broadcast & Video

Position Sumary:

Provides leadership and coordination for the development and implementation of multimedia content for FCS-TV and other District communication outlets. The incumbent in this position is responsible for ensuring successful broadcast and video implementation across the District.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and manages a broadcast and video related strategy for the District that meets organizational objectives and aligns with FCS communications strategy and overall District goalsCoordinates the entire content creation process from pre-production to post-production and audio/visual (A/V) set-up and troubleshooting for presentations and District meetingsProvides support for various departments, initiatives, and programs relating to any broadcast and video needs while ensuring consistency with the central communications strategyOversees and manages the organization and monitoring of various projects/initiatives ensuring production schedules are metManages the execution of broadcast and video opportunitiesMeasures the effectiveness of broadcast and video initiatives on an on-going basis and makes recommendations to review and amend plans as appropriateReports back to the Executive Director of Communications and other key internal and external stakeholders at regular intervals to ensure that broadcast and video plans are effective and on track according to strategic plansCoordinates and oversees the management of the live stream for Board meetings and other live events to ensure successful deliveryAdvises Executive Director on any challenges relating to the broadcast and video departmentCoordinates A/V presence for events and other assignments that recognize staff leadership and developmentSupports the culture of the organizationServes as a champion for the District's values, standards, and strategic initiativesPerforms other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator

Education and Experience:
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field required Master's Degree preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible experience which includes extensive exposure to Adobe Premier and After Effects required Some experience in Information Technology preferred

Certification/Licensure:
  • None required

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proven ability and proficiency in the use of DSLR Videography (various Canon cameras and lenses and GOPROS)Strong abilities and proficiency in MAC OS platform and Adobe Premiere and After Effects, Motion softwareDemonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, Dropbox, and Microsoft Office 365Strong ability to create motion graphics and visual effectsExcellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present information clearly, concisely and creativelyMust be self-disciplined, with the ability to multi-task, schedule, organize, monitor and administer various projects simultaneously to meet production schedules with very tight deadlinesProficient in the use and applications of social mediaGraphic design expertise through Adobe Creative Suite programs such as PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator, and website content management software such as Microsoft SharePoint a plusAbility to work effectively with departmental personnelGood decision-making and problem solving skills

Salary Information:
Salary Range for 2018-2019
  • $72,576 - $85,655

Step placement credit may be granted for up to a maximum of 8 years (Step 9) of prior verifiable experience. Salary placement with Fulton County Schools is non-negotiable. Actual salary placement will be based on Fulton County Board of Education experience calculations from the Non-Teaching Salary Schedule B-235, Executive Scale, Step 1 - Step 9.
