The Coordinator, Employee Growth and Evaluation Systems is responsible for leading the management and ensuring fidelity of implementation of growth and evaluation systems for non-teaching employees of the District. Primary goals of the position are to (1) manage, strengthen school leader professional growth and evaluation system; (2) manage, strengthen professional growth and evaluation processes for non-teaching professionals; (3) manage and strengthen the professional growth and evaluation process for central office administrators and staff; (4) support the commission staff growth and evaluation process; (5) support the application of information produced through the growth and evaluation process for applications that benefits students and staff (e.g. differentiated professional development, recognition and rewards, intensive support), and (6) perform other duties as specified by supervisor.

Reports To: Director, Performance Management Systems

Salary:
Support Administrator, Level 7 (Salary starting at $87, 116)

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, policy analysis, public administration, business or related field; Candidates who possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant area coupled with commensurate work experience may be considered.

- Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Experience in developing, implementing, or managing performance measurement systems.

- Experience or training in program evaluation, performance measurement, or assessment/audit related tasks.

- Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.

- Preference given to those with knowledge of Pre-K through 12 urban school reform.

- Experience with employee evaluation, performance based compensation systems preferred.

Residency Requirements: City of Pittsburgh Residency Required

Essential Job Functions:
1. Support the application of information produced through the growth and evaluation process to applications that benefit students and staff (e.g. differentiated professional development, recognition and rewards, intensive support).

2. Manage and strengthen school leader professional growth and evaluation systems including,
a. Ensuring school leaders receive quality feedback that fosters professional growth.
b. Delivering end-of-year ratings that accurately reflect performance, ensure
appropriate accountability, and meet the requirements of state and local policy.
c. Providing ongoing support related to the evaluation processes to district staff
groups.
d. Reviewing relevant literature and research to continuously improve evaluation and
growth processes.

3. Manage and strengthen professional growth and evaluation processes for non-teaching professionals including,
a. Ensuring non-teaching professionals receive quality feedback that fosters professional growth.
b. Delivering end-of-year ratings that accurately reflect performance, ensure appropriate accountability, and meet the requirements of state and local policy.
c. Reviewing relevant literature and research to continuously improve the evaluation and growth process.

4. Engage central office administrators and staff in a growth and evaluation process including,
a. Designing and implementing a process that provides helpful feedback about practice and helps employees set and monitor clear goals.
b. Delivering end-of-year ratings that accurately reflect performance, ensure appropriate accountability, and meet the requirements of state and local policy.
c. Reviewing relevant literature and research to continuously improve the evaluation and growth process.

5. Performing other duties as assigned.

1. Indoors in busy office, working in close proximity to co-worker;
2. Frequently required to work at a fast pace;
3. Requires considerable concentration and creativity.
