SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

Randolph, Massachusetts

The Randolph, Massachusetts School District invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools. Located in eastern Massachusetts, Randolph is a community of approximately 32,000 residents. It lies about 15 miles south of Boston at the intersection of Routes 93 and 24. It has easy access to the beautiful Massachusetts South Shore and to other rich metropolitan cultural and historical locations throughout the region. Randolph's location has been an important factor in its economic and social history. Today, the town's proximity to major transportation networks results in an influx of families from Boston and other localities who live in Randolph but work throughout the metropolitan area.

There are six schools in the district: one PreK-5 and three K-5 elementary schools, a Grades 6-8 middle school, a Grades 9-12 high school, and the AIM Academy (an alternative school that integrates social-emotional supports and safety nets into traditional classroom instructional practices). All facilities are well-maintained and provide resources supporting the needs of each student.

This is an exciting opportunity for a school leader to work collaboratively with others on expanding district initiatives that provide for the wide range of students’ needs.  Candidates should have experience in diverse learning environments, both as a school (building-level) administrator and as a system-wide/central office leader. State superintendent certification or certification eligibility is required. The successful applicant will have a commitment to providing academic excellence and demonstrated skillfulness in engaging diverse community constituencies.

The Randolph School Committee offers a multi-year contract with a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Screening of applications will begin on November 16, 2018 with a start date of July 1, 2019.
