Summer Academies Enrollment Manager

Located on two campuses in Vermont, Middlebury Interactive Languages Summer Academy offers middle and high school students the opportunity to study Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, German, or Spanish with skilled language educators in an intensive four week immersion environment.

This position works directly with the Director, Summer Academies to foster the growth and success of all Middlebury Interactive Languages' summer programs through various enrollment focused activities including the management of the application and enrollment processes, creating and developing systems to nurture leads, managing both leads and outbound sales calls, and serving as primary point of contact with parents.

Directly supervises 1-3 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

As the Summer Academies Enrollment Manager, YOU WILL . . .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Manages the application and enrollment process for prospective and enrolled students;
  • Develops relationships with parents and serve as primary contact for questions and information leading up to, during, and following the Academy;
  • Creates and develop a system for lead nurturing, to include outbound calls and email campaigns, in collaboration with Marketing and Enrollment at K12;
  • Utilizes SalesForce to manage leads and outbound sales calls;
  • Meets departmental enrollment targets;
  • Writes and manages all messaging and communication to applicants, including welcome emails, application decisions, enrollment requirements, and program updates;
  • Reviews applications daily and communicate application decisions and enrollment requirements to families;
  • Manages enrollment and health document systems; serves as primary point of contact for these relationships and oversee setup and management of enrollment and document management systems;
  • Ensures timely completion of all student forms; coordinates review of health forms with international Academy partners and other MIL staff;
  • Creates and deliver training materials and processes for support staff in K12 enrollment center
  • Obtains in-depth knowledge of the Academy to act effectively as the first line of support for phone, online chat, and email inquiries;
  • Manages partner and foundation relationships; communicate enrollment and financial aid decisions to partners and work with them to increase enrollment. Write grant applications;
  • Manages financial aid budget to maximize enrollment; Review financial aid applications and communicate decisions to families.

    • Be present on-site as needed during the program to support staff with operations
    • Attend conferences and fairs to create awareness of Academies and recruit students in collaboration with Marketing as needed
    • Develop and conduct training for summer staff operational team
    • Prepare weekly enrollment reports and provide analysis of enrollment trends; work with Marketing to adjust lead generation and nurturing strategies as needed

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree AND
  • Three (3) years former enrollment sales or client support experience at K12 OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: none required

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Outstanding communication (written and oral), and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Analytical skills for data reporting
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web, SalesForce
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
