Title of Position: Field Agent, Child Nutrition Programs
Reports to: Education Associate, Nutrition Programs
Description of Position:
The Field Agent, Child Nutrition Programs is a full time position in the School Support Services Work Group, Student Support Team. Major responsibilities include conducting state-wide compliance reviews and monitoring of Child Nutrition Programs; completion of technical assistance; and training sessions.
Major Responsibilities Include:

Salary:
Salary will be computed in accordance with the education, experience, and training of the individual selected and in accordance with salary schedules for employees of the Department of Education. Direct deposit of payroll checks is a condition of state employment, and employees are paid on a lag pay schedule with the first payment made after approximately one month of employment.

Description of Position:
The Field Agent, Child Nutrition Programs is a full time position in the School Support Services Work Group, Student Support Team. Major responsibilities include conducting state-wide compliance reviews and monitoring of Child Nutrition Programs; completion of technical assistance; and training sessions.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct and coordinate on-site administrative reviews and monitor sites/facilities participating Child Nutrition Programs.
- Prepare written reports of findings and perform follow-up to ensure compliance and effective implementation of corrective actions.
- Investigate reports of noncompliance and provide recommendations for quality improvement and corrective action.
- Provide technical assistance to sponsors participating in Child Nutrition Programs.
- Support the annual application renewal process for Child Nutrition Programs.
- Assist in development and implementation of training and technical assistance materials.
- Assist in the development of nutrition education materials for sponsors participating in Child Nutrition Programs.
- Collaborate with DDOE Child Nutrition Team, School Support Services Workgroup, and the Finance staff assigned to support Child Nutrition Programs.
- Collaborate with community organizations and health agencies to improve the health of school-age children.
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the Education Associate Nutrition Programs and Director, School Support Services.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in nutrition, education, food service, administration or related health field
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with school and community groups in nutrition or health
- Experience working with a team
- Experience with program or financial monitoring, auditing, coordination, or oversight
Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication, as well as excellent listening and synthesizing skills
- Excellent skills with current Windows and Microsoft applications
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, relationship-building and negotiating skills
- Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Capable of setting priorities and working in collaboration with others
