Job Summary
Oversees the implementation of the programmatic activities for the Facilities Management and Services department. Oversees the program operations and assures that the programmatic operations are in compliance with the grant, operating budget.
Essential Functions
  • Works with Operations to gain perspective on the day-to-day functions.
  • Illustrates excellent customer service while interacting with team members and managing daily offices functions.
  • Assists departmental staff in evaluating changing operational conditions; communicates findings to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Identifies trends and recommends proactive or remedial action to manage situations.
  • Participates in field investigations and the analysis of data to determine immediate and future work required.
  • Assists with the review and analysis of work orders and additional projects as necessary.
  • Assists with the development of cost estimates for labor-hours, equipment and materials for work requests.
  • Facilities the placement of all substitute facilities employees.
  • Oversees employee absence control and time management systems.
  • Prepares Limited Contract Agreements.
  • Supports the administrator with contract management and Request for Proposal processes.
  • Gathers data and maintains accurate and complete records.
  • Utilizes research techniques for qualitatively evaluating impact of services to schools and/or central offices.
  • Serves as the primary contact for vendors and contractors.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of full-time, paid, professional experience in program management, implementation, data collections and research, which has included experience with academic enrichment in a large urban district or overseeing components of financial and administrative operations in a large organization.
OR
  • Any combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
  • All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.
Demonstrated knowledge of:
  • the principles and current practices in the area of financial management and processing.
  • the methods and techniques utilized in effective program planning, design, and administration.
  • software applications used to maintain databases and financial records.
Demonstrated ability to :
  • coordinate professional development activities.
  • assess the effectiveness of programmatic activities and to make cogent recommendations for modifications as needed.
  • use a personal computer for word processing and data management.
  • communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • establish and maintain effective relationships.

Additional Job Information: This is a non-represented position. The salary grade for this role is 4023. Interviews may be conducted to determine how well a candidate meets the established criteria. Additional factors including the ability to follow directions, punctuality and professional conduct will be considered in part of the evaluation process. The selected candidate must have no anecdotal record on file and have not been subject to any disciplinary action within the past eighteen (18) months, and have an excellent record of attendance and punctuality during the last three (3) years (defined as no more than eighteen (18) occasions of lateness or absence for personal illness in the last three years (3) years with the exception of one extended long-term absence.
