Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching qualification such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Masters in Education or Bachelors of Education. Our jobs are not teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a TEFL certificate alone is not sufficient teacher training.

This school opened relatively recently as a Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6 Elementary School but began enrolment for Middle and Senior sections in 2016. It is the first IB international bilingual school in Kunming. They offer a unique bilingual education, based on the IB, from a beautiful and modern campus that has capacity for 1200 students. 

Teachers must be certified in teaching in their home countries with a minimum of a Bachelors in Teaching or Bachelors in their own field + teaching certification; Teachers should also have several years of relevant post-qualification teaching experiences. IB experience is preferred but is not essential as training will be provided. 

Located in Kunming - the capital of the Yunnan Province in South West China - the “City of Eternal Spring” which enjoys short, dry, mild winters and long, warm summers. It is a relatively clean city compared to others in China, and is lush and green all year round with some beautiful national parks within easy reach. Within Kunming there are many museums, classical architecture to admire, markets, Botannical Gardens, the Zoo and Dianchi (or Kunming lake) to explore. The entertainment district around Kundu Square has many cinemas, bars, clubs and restaurants and there are plenty of sports facilities and very good golf courses. Kunming has an international airport and is also linked to South East Asia by road (Myanmar and Laos) and rail (Vietnam).
