POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Intermediate District 287 is seeking qualified candidates for an Instructional Design Coordinator. This position will serve as the key architect in the development,implementation, and ongoing strategic management of the organization's effortsto develop a comprehensive repository of Open Educational Resources (OER) for all levels of curriculum delivery and professional development. Other responsibilities include the use of technology to assess academic needs, gather and curate resource materials and information, and establish plans for course development.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

General Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) and designing effective and engaging e-learning courses as well as digital resources and curriculum content.

PREFERRED: Formal training or a degree in Web design, and experience designing digital content and courses in K-12 Education. Understanding of the K-12 Common Core State Standards. Experience with large volumes of content in varieties of digital formats, both web native and other.

Substitutions Allowed:
College training in a technical degree such as an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) plus three (3) years of experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) and designing effective and engaging e-learning courses as well as digital resources and curriculum content, may be substituted for the General Experience.
Or
At least five (5) years of experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) and designing effective and engaging e-learning courses as well as digital resources and curriculum content.
