Title: Career Coordinator
Reports to: Head of School
Status: 10 Month + per diem days, Exempt
Position Summary:
Career Coordinator will be expected to work closely with the Head of School to plan, organize, implement and oversee career related and work-based learning activities for Grades 9-12.
Responsibilities:
1.1. Work cooperatively with school leaders and staff to develop and track career plans for all students beginning in Grade 9.
1.2. Continually manage co-curricular transcript initiative to track all students' WBL participation, learning experiences, and NYS approved Career Development & Occupational Studies (CDOS) activities.
1.3. Establish and organize internal and external Work-Based Learning (WBL) activities such as MASH Camps, Guest Speakers, Field Trips, Job Shadowing etc.
2.1 Develop a Work-Based Learning Plan to increase the number of career development and service learning opportunities
2.2. Provide focused and approved NYS Career & Technical Education opportunities with college and healthcare industry partners
2.3. Develop new and strengthen existing business and college partnerships to continuously identify viable options for WBL activities and certificate programs

- Proven skills in project management, career interest identification, time management
- Sound skills in the area of interpersonal communications
- Proven ability to communicate with students, educators, and business and industry professionals
- Related experience in Business, Marketing or Career and Technical Education
- Career Coordinator certification
- Experience with high school-aged youth in WBL placements
