Location: Bolling Building, 2300 Washington Street, Roxbury, MA 02119
Full/ Part Time: Part-Time
Reports to: Manager of Compliance, Special Education
Position Duration: September 6, 2018 - June 20, 2019
Boston Public Schools seeks a New Coordinator Supporter.
New Coordinator Supporter will be a designated contact for 1-2 new coordinators (defined as 1-5 years as a coordinator) for the 18-19 school year.
Responsibilities:
-Meet once per month with group of new coordinators and supporters with the Manager of Compliance or designee to discuss training topics and provide feedback and expertise on designated topic
-Be available as a phone contact for designated coordinator to respond to process or protocol questions
-Provide observations of the new coordinator and non-evaluative, non-supervisory feedback and suggestions
-Allow the observation by the new coordinator of meetings
-Deliver a presentation on a topic to new coordinators or assist in the development of presentations
Work Conditions :
-approximately 10 hours per month of work with hours outside of designated work day
-mandatory attendance at an orientation training half-day on August 30, 2018 and half day meeting with new coordinators on September 4, 2018
Qualifications:
-8+ years as a coordinator of special education
Compensation
$5000 flat rate stipend
