General Responsibilities :
This position will serve to assist the Network Administrator in trouble-shooting PC and network problems, and will support the network and operations administration by handling phone calls, conducting training sessions, and communicating useful information to users.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Conducts training sessions for users to instruct them in general hardware and software installation, set-up, start-up, usage, backup, etc.Interacts with users to troubleshoot and solve problems over the phone and by on-site visits when problems cannot be solved over the phone.Develops a “newsletter” or other type of written communication to provide users with tips, how-to's, common problem resolutions, etc.Maintains a log of problems reported and how they were handled.Assists the Network Administrator and Operations Supervisor in the installation and setup of hardware/software.Assists in installation of replacement parts where necessary and feasible.Performs other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION :
Graduation from high school plus a minimum of one year of technical experience with PC's, PC software packages and networking. Graduation from technical training in PC support and networking may be substituted for experience. Computer certifications in PC Support and Networking are desired.
