We are the 2nd largest for-profit early education organization headquartered in Novi, MI. We are looking to add to our Infrastructure Team. The Data center Systems Engineer will support the operation, maintenance, administration, and problem resolution of hardware, applications, and services within the organizations IT data centers Support of non-data center hardware, applications, and services to be assigned as needed. Assist in overall strategy for virtualization, centralization, business continuity, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Provide third level support to IT infrastructure technologies including virtualization, storage and server environments.
- Plan and lead concurrent datacenter project initiatives, coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside resources as needed.
- Backup administrative functions on database, e-mail, print, and data backup servers with their associated operating systems and software.
- Participates in on-call production support activities.
- Develop, maintain and publish IT infrastructure standards, roadmaps, policies and procedures Monitor and test system capacities and performance providing statistics and reports.
- Ensure compliance and security according to corporate policies and auditing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in client and end user systems preferably with Microsoft Windows Server/Client family of operating systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in networking and wireless technologies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy.
- Knowledge of VoIP and SIP technology
