This role will be responsible for compiling the consolidated volume forecast for the business unit. Preparing and analyzing sales forecast and performance to plan. Prepare analysis and recommendation to drive demand generation. Analyze and recommend strategies to improve forecasting accuracy, and lower cost of acquisition. The role will manage the demand generation budget in support of the Director for Marketing for the business unit. The role requires hands-on leadership, contributing individually while at the same time managing and developing various dotted-line teams. Responsibilities will encompass managing or performing analytical projects in addition to presenting results to both executives and non-technical stakeholders..

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. The role will supervise 1-2 analysts via dotted line in the creation of reports and analyses for K12's Marketing and Enrollment subject areas, pertaining to the Private Pay business units.
AS A Private Pay Sr Manager, Business Analytics, YOU WILL..
  • Manages Consolidated volume and sales forecast
  • Expert in volume and financial forecasting, variance analysis, and causal analysis
  • Expert in excel and forecasting methods.
  • Well versed in risk management.
  • Well-versed in SEM strategy, optimization & keyword analysis
  • Strong ability in pulling and manipulating data sets from source systems to include Oracle, Hyperion, SQL, Etc.
  • Engages with digital media vendors to optimize marketing campaigns
  • Develops keyword acquisition metrics and reports, providing transparency into performance and supporting analysis to drive measurable improvements to SEM strategy
  • Performs analysis on Marketing efficiency and response, including subject areas of:
    • Media channel performance and attribution (digital and offline)
    • Call center performance
    • Acquisition opportunity areas and bottlenecks
    • Marginal economics
  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings, improved efficiency and improved conversion rates within acquisition funnels
  • Utilizes data insights to recommend improvements to customer journey and conversion funnel/pipeline workflows
  • Work with other teams to implement findings in order to create measurable ROI.
  • Develops / maintains volume and conversion forecasts and forecasting toolsets
  • Works with data science peers in the creation and use of predictive models
  • Utilizes Excel, PowerPoint and other tools to perform analysis and present results to management and stakeholders
  • Develops SQL-based queries and reports
  • Continually learns and develops new analytics skills, including areas of predictive modeling, BI, and SQL development

Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications
:
  • Bachelor degree in finance, statistics, or applied math, Business Administration, or a related discipline, AND
  • 5-8 years' experience in an analysis role with demonstrated success in managing complex data sets and delivering measurable cost savings and process improvements
  • 5-8 years' experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to perform analyses and deliver presentation results
  • 5 years' experience using SQL for analysis and reporting OR any programming language experience and an aptitude for learning
  • Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • 2 years' experience in people management, OR project management
  • Experience with top line forecasting (1 Year and/or 5 Year)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience developing dashboards and reports within a BI tool such as Tableau
  • Understanding of databases, data models, and data warehousing principals
  • Development of predictive and machine learning models using R, Python, or SAS
  • Background in statistics
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills; Independent and self-driven
  • Ability to pass required background check


DESIRED Qualifications:
  • Experience with Big Data or Learning Analytics
  • Master's degree in related field desired but not required.
