Edvectus recruits qualified/certified Primary, Elementary, Secondary, Middle and High School teachers from the following countries;

USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa.

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree and teaching qualification such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Masters in Education or Bachelors of Education. Our jobs are not teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a TEFL certificate alone is not sufficient teacher training.

Edvectus has partnered with a large school group in China to bring teaching opportunities to current and aspiring TEFL (English Foreign Language) teachers. You will be teaching in a private school or state school in China during regular school hours (eg 8am to 4pm Monday-Friday). The locations will be in Southern China, in the Guangdong province. Class sizes range from 15 to 35.

The schools group currently cooperates with hundreds of provincial elite schools, including kindergartens, primary, middle, high schools, colleges and universities, so there is something for everyone.

They have over 10 years of experience in hiring foreign staff members. All of their teachers have working (Z) visas and are working legally in China. Assistance will be provided with all government paperwork (including

invitation letters, medical tests, immigration, police registration, foreign expert certifications, etc.). They currently employ over 100 TEFL teachers and the numbers are still growing.

Teachers must meet the following criteria to be considered:

English first-language speakers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland or South Africa.

Bachelor’s degree in any field from one of the countries above TEFL certificate of 120 hours.

Candidates who do not hold an appropriate TEFL certification must complete the course online 120 hours and will be reimbursed.

They must complete the course specified by the school. Newly qualified teachers, teaching friends and new University graduates are welcome.

Minimum 2 years teaching experience

Regional Info:

Guangzhou is the largest city and the capital city of the Guangdong province and the third largest city in China. The city is located on the Pearl River, about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong and north-northeast of Macau. Guangzhou has a humid subtropical climate and summers are hot and wet (the monsoon season lasts from April to September) and winters are relatively mild and dry. There are about 14 million residents in Guangzhou and Cantonese is the first language for about half of these residents while the other half speak mainly Mandarin. In recent years, the city has developed a more cosmopolitan appearance with new shopping plazas, high rise buildings, a modern metro system and landscaped parks and road sides. It's a busy, lively city but parts of the cities have charm with restored churches, buildings and private residences. Having a major airport and being so close to Hong Kong opens up a world of travel opportunities from short weekend trips to longer treks around Asia in the holidays. Guangzhou really is the perfect place to base yourself in Asia!
