Title: Site Supervisor

The Salem 21CCLC, called Horace Mann Learning Lab provides an after-school and summer program for Horace Mann students in grades 3-5 in partnership with Salem State University. This program, which is housed at the Horace Mann Lab School at 79 Willson Street, is funded through August 2019.

The site supervisor role is part-time, working 18 hours per week. Approximately 10 hours will coincide with the program hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 2:00-4:30) and 8 hours will be for planning, curriculum, data analysis, preparing mid-year and year-end reports and administration. Summer hours will vary and in general will require you to be on-site at the school from 8:00am until 3:00pm, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attending DESE meetings/trainings and Northeast regional meetings/trainings
  • Attend professional development opportunities from DESE and other organizations
  • Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and Family Engagement Facilitator, provide curriculum oversight and planning to assure they are aligned with stated 21cclc outcomes and core curriculum.
  • Support hiring efforts
  • Manage a continuous improvement program
  • Organize logistics for snacks and transportation and payroll
  • Collection of data including attendance and DESE SAYO assessments
  • Work with Program Coordinator to assure we are managing budgets
  • Work with Program Coordinator on purchasing of instructional and non-instruction supplies for the program
  • Planning for summer programs and new school year programs
  • Partner with external community organizations, daytime teachers and district personnel to ensure all student needs are being met

  • Required Qualifications:
    • An unwavering commitment to serving all students
    • Experience leading groups of diverse students including students with disabilities and English Language Learners
    • Administrative experience
    • Must be a strong project manager and communicator in order to coordinate between the school, grant managers and teaching staff
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, or relevant field

    Bi-lingual in Spanish
