Assistant Manager, School Operations

The Assistant Manager, School Operations works with the Manager, School Operations to perform and/or oversee all aspects of school operations with an emphasis on compliance activities at all levels, internal and external to the K12 organization and functions as a member of the school leadership team.

This position would support both Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy (OVCA) and Insight School of Oklahoma (ISOK).

AS A ASSISTANT SCHOOL OPERATIONS MANAGER, YOU WILL...
  • Works closely with Manager, School Operations to project manage major school events, such as Enrollment, Semester End Transition, Year End Transition, and State Testing;
  • Manages all school assessment programs including OCCT, Plan/Explore, PSAT, AP, Study Island, and Scantron, including make-up testing;
  • Oversees accounts payable; Supervises encumbrance clerk; Ensures invoices are process in a timely manner; Manages and approves staff expense reports; Trains staff on proper submission of expense reports; Tracks eligibility and coordinates payment of internet subsidy payments for families; contract
  • Helps maintain student records and data; creates/implements/documents processes that ensure student data validity in K12 and 3rd party databases;
  • Assists Manager, School Operations with local, State , and federal reporting requirements;
  • Works with Manager, School Operations and administrative staff to ensure the school is compliant with and meets all audit requirements;
  • Assists Manager, School Operations with the development of school policies and procedures, e.g. assists with the Company's efforts nationally to develop policies and procedures, training standards and curriculum enhancements;
  • Develops relationships with vendors, the districts, State and other education stakeholders;
  • Assists with a wide variety of personnel support issues and may support key office positions.

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning. Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field AND
  • Three (3) years of operations, project, or product management/support experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Organizational and time management skills - "Great is relative"
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Formal project management experience in fast-paced or start-up environment
  • Experience using State WAVE system
