POSITION SUMMARY:
The Federal Program Specialist supports the administrative efforts of the Title I Parent and Family Involvement program at the school and district level. The incumbent will provide oversight for schools' Title I Parent and Family Involvement documentation via school visits/ technical assistant meetings, support school activities and initiatives; support and facilitate professional development to Parent Liaisons, School Leaders, Title I team, and other designees, and support activities and initiatives of the Title I program at schools and district levels. Assist with the preparation of documentation for auditing purposes. This position reports to the Coordinator (Federal Programs).
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to Title I schools in regards to:
    • Implementation of designated parent and family engagement choice option.
    • Development of required Title I Parent and Family Engagement Documentation (i.e. School-Parent Compact, Parent and Family Engagement Plans, Annual Title I Parent Meeting, Title I Parent Notifications
    • Guidance and support in expending Title I Funds designated for Parent and Family Involvement.
  • Deliver training on federal program compliance and regulations to school administrators, designated school personnel, and parent liaisons through:
    • Title I Compliance
    • Building capacity for parents and families/best practices.
    • Building capacity for teachers and administrators/best practices.
  • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated.
  • Assist in conducting the summative assessments for the schools.
  • Maintain accurate records and documents required for federal/state/local audit purposes.
  • Provide school guidance, monitoring and support to ensure proper allocation and use of funds for central office set aside for Family Engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
  • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated.


Requirements: EDUCATION: ? Bachelor?s degree required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Two (2) years of experience working with adults and families, facilitation and training experience.
  • Title I schools or district level experience preferred.


Compensation: SALARY GRADE: 129
SALARY RANGE: $59, 771-$85, 661
WORK DAYS: 252/Annual

FLSA Status: Exempt
