The Financial Analyst works with the business unit team performing day-to-day accounting, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas along with month/quarter/year-end close activities

AS A FINANCE ANALYST YOU WILL:

• Provide analytical insight into key performance metrics such as conversion and retention rates

• Develop and maintain profitability metrics such as LTV and ROI for media strategies

• Perform general ledger accounting and financial support activities; Prepares monthly forecasts;
• Assist with monthly financial closings; Analyzes monthly profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet variances; Performs routine communication relating to financial close, issues and deliverables;
• Assist in the development of annual budgets;
• Provide business development and contract negotiation support; Participates in business support processes;
• Support Corporate Finance group with K12 and school financial policies, internal controls, and business processes;

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Math or a related field AND 1-2 years' experience in advanced modeling or data analytics OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with particular focus on data modeling and the use of advanced features of spreadsheets including VBA macros; understanding of SQL query writing is a plus .

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls • Strong research and analysis skills • Strong data management capabilities • Ability to work effectively in a multi information system environment • Able to work well as part of a team • Customer service orientation • Possess very good communication skills - written and verbal • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Oracle ERP experience • Ability to pass required background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Professional certification and/or advanced degree
