Job Title: Manager of Advancement and Operations
Terms: Managerial, Tier C Reports to the Headmaster

General Summary:

We seek a forward-thinking, driven, and hard-working educator to join our unique school community to serve as Manager of Advancement and Operations. The educator will assist in the coordination and implementation of systems of support with attendance, performance, and conduct. The Manager of Advancement and Operations is also tasked with overseeing the school's non-instructional staff, operations, safety, facility, and climate needs.

Advancement:

  • Ensure the coordination of data-driven, solution-focused, and action-oriented systems of support around attendance, performance and/or conduct-related concerns
  • Support and supervise Community Field Coordinators and non-instructional staff tasked with the development and implementation of interventions and systems of support for students presenting concerns in the areas of attendance, performance, and conduct
  • Facilitate the Student Support Team and with the goal of addressing and resolving student concerns impacting academic performance
  • Co-facilitate meetings with the goal of ensuring collaboration with faculty and staff in addressing attendance, performance, and conduct concerns
  • Review and analyze student attendance, performance, and conduct data on a daily/weekly/quarterly basis with the goal of identifying students in need of support and coordinating with CFCs, school counselors, and faculty in the development and implementation of interventions and systems of support
  • Coordinate our school's academic awards, attendance, and citizenship recognitions, awards, and ceremonies
  • Coordinate after-school extra help/tutoring program, conduct detention, and attendance/tardiness detention


Operations

  • Oversee and follow through with school-based disciplinary protocols, including bullying, harassment, suspensions, and expulsions
  • Serve as liaison between the school and district staff in regards to safety issues, emergency preparedness, and fire safety evacuation drills and practices
  • Assist in the supervision of students during arrival, lunch, and dismissal
  • Support the scheduling and management of all school-wide assemblies
  • Other duties as designated by the Headmaster and administrative staff


Requirements
The candidate must have:
  • Master's Degree and/or equivalent
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in a school setting
  • Proficiency with google applications and technological proficiency
  • High level of oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Excellent organizational skills, including time management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Results and detail oriented, a problem-solver, accurate.
  • Able to take initiative and work independently but also be a team player.
  • Integrity and confidentiality essential
  • Experience working collaboratively and collegially with a diverse group of individuals that includes members of the development committee, Board of Trustees, donors, partners, faculty and staff, students and parents.

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Boston Public Schools disciplinary procedures, inclusive of Aspen/SIS
  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Strong data collection and facilitation skills


TERMS:
[Managerial C position]
This position subject to the City of Boston residency requirement. Candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States by their first day of employment.

NOTE: School-based managerial employees will work 223 days between July 1st and June 30th each year. The 223 day work-year will include the 180 days in which school is in session, and the additional days will be determined by the employee and the principal or headmaster of the school. This position subject to the City of Boston residency requirement.

School-based managerial employees are not eligible for vacation time or compensatory time. In the event of school cancellation due to snow or inclement weather, school-based managerial employees need not report to work.
